Dreaming of earning your master’s degree in the United States? The Fulbright Graduate Study Program 2027–2028, announced by the U.S. Embassy in Serbia, is now open — and it could be your chance to study at some of the world’s top universities while representing Serbia abroad.

This highly respected scholarship program is designed for motivated students and young professionals who want to continue their education in the U.S. and bring new knowledge, skills, and international experience back to Serbia.

 

What can you study?

The program is open to a wide range of fields, including:

  • Engineering, Computer Science & Information Technologies
  • Economics, Political Science & International Relations
  • Natural Sciences (Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics)
  • Environmental Sciences & Geography
  • Education, Psychology & Social Sciences
  • Journalism, Media & Communications
  • Law, Linguistics & Philosophy
  • American Studies, History, Literature & Culture

❌ Clinical medical programs are not eligible

 

What does the scholarship include?

Fulbright is a fully funded program, which means you don’t need to worry about the major costs of studying abroad. The grant typically covers:

  • Full or partial tuition and university fees
  • A monthly stipend for living expenses
  • Health insurance
  • Round‑trip airfare to and from the United States

Who can apply?

You may be a great fit if you:

  • Are a citizen of the Republic of Serbia
  • Have completed (or will complete) a bachelor’s degree by the time of application
  • Have a good command of English (shortlisted candidates will take TOEFL and, in most fields, GRE exams)
  • Are ready to study full‑time in the U.S. and return to Serbia after the program
  • Are not currently studying in the U.S.

How are candidates selected?

Selection is competitive and merit‑based. After an initial application review, shortlisted candidates are invited to an interview in English with a committee of academics, Fulbright alumni, and U.S. Embassy representatives.
