As the United States marks 250 years since its founding, the ARC is proud to host the Seventh School of American Studies, organized by the Center for U.S. Studies of the Faculty of Political Science University of Belgrade. This five-day educational program will bring together students and young professionals interested in gaining a deeper understanding of the history, institutions, culture, and global role of the United States.
Through a series of lectures and interactive discussions led by some of Serbia’s leading experts in American Studies, participants will explore key moments and ideas that have shaped American society, including the American Revolution, the U.S. political and legal systems, economic development, foreign and security policy, U.S.-Serbia relations, and the influence of American culture, literature, music, and film.
The program aims to strengthen understanding of the United States and its place in the modern international order while encouraging critical thinking, academic engagement, and international collaboration among young people in Serbia. By commemorating this important anniversary, the School of American Studies also contributes to strengthening U.S.-Serbia relations and fostering dialogue between future leaders, scholars, and professionals.
