About the event:

The Palo Alto Networks Cybersecurity Academy is an educational initiative designed to address the global shortage of skilled cybersecurity professionals. It is part of Palo Alto Networks’ broader mission to create a safer digital world. The Academy partners will partner with the ARC. With the professor from ETF, Electrical Engineering Faculty, University of Belgrade, we will provide free curriculum, hands-on labs, and faculty training to integrate cybersecurity education into existing programs. Students enrolled in the Academy gain access to industry-relevant knowledge and skills in network security, cloud security, and threat prevention. The curriculum is aligned with industry standards and includes content on firewalls, endpoint protection, and threat intelligence. It leverages Palo Alto Networks’ technologies like their next-generation firewall and security platforms. The program emphasizes practical experience through virtual labs and simulations. It includes instructor-led lessons, self-paced modules, and certification preparation. Faculty members receive training and ongoing support to effectively deliver the content. The Academy helps students prepare for Palo Alto Networks certifications, such as the PCCET (Certified Cybersecurity Entry-level Technician) and PCNSA (Certified Network Security Administrator). These certifications are valuable steppingstones for a career in cybersecurity. Serbia lacks cyber security experts, and this is a great way to promote a U.S. company and the academy throughout the University of Belgrade and ARC.
