About the program:

Program Learning Beyond the Classroom brings together educators, parents, community leaders, and researchers to strengthen childhood education through innovative, locally driven approaches. The initiative emphasizes parental choice, family engagement, and practical skills development while exploring experiential and nature-based learning that prepares children for future success.

The program responds to concerns about children’s reduced outdoor activity, limited opportunities for free play, and increasing mental health challenges, while also supporting families’ ability to choose educational pathways that best fit their values and goals. By combining a leadership summit with professional training, participants gain tools to create environments that foster healthy development, resilience, and readiness for tomorrow’s workforce.

The program also builds professional networks and encourages collaboration among institutions and individuals committed to strengthening childhood education outcomes, while respecting local control and community priorities.
