American Voices, Local Stories is a creative writing workshop series that invites participants to explore the connections between American cultural themes and their own personal experiences. Through guided exercises, discussion, and storytelling, participants will develop original narratives inspired by ideas that have shaped American literature and society, including freedom, change, dreams, identity, and self-expression.

The program offers a supportive and creative space for anyone interested in writing, storytelling, and cultural exploration. Participants will engage with selected excerpts from American authors, using them as starting points for reflection and creative expression while crafting stories rooted in their own voices and experiences.

Over the course of three interactive workshops, participants will explore themes of Voice & Freedom, Movement & Change, and Dreams & Identity. Through writing exercises, feedback sessions, and group discussions, they will develop and refine personal narratives that connect local perspectives with ideas found in American culture and literature.

The program is open to adults and young adults interested in creative writing, storytelling, and cultural dialogue. Selected stories may be featured in a digital publication or shared through recorded formats, allowing participants’ voices to reach a wider audience and continue the conversation beyond the workshops themselves.
